Private Residential Architecture & Interior Design
Villa Chamby is a private residential architecture and interior design renovation project in Montreux, Switzerland, reinterpreting a 1960s Bauhaus villa through a contemporary lens.
Originally built in the 1960s in the iconic Bauhaus style, this villa in Montreux had remained untouched, without any modifications or renovations, for decades.
Following its acquisition in January 2014, the project underwent a complete transformation, carefully restored to preserve its architectural integrity while introducing a refined contemporary approach.
The renovation breathes new life into this mid-century masterpiece, blending timeless design with contemporary comforts, ensuring its place as both a tribute to its original style and a sophisticated, functional living space for today.
The interior space has been rearranged to improve the quality of life according to the position of each object. Work on the lighting, for example, has given an extra dimension to the villa.
The position of the windows has been redesigned and new windows have been added to enlarge and give more character to the rooms.
